Your Host in 2026: Greg Hennessey

Reykjavík Game Summit 2026 will be hosted by Greg Hennessey, Game Design Director of EVE Online. Greg has been designing games for 24 years on a range of titles from open-world action games, racing games, RPGs and MMOs — with credits at studios including Radical Entertainment, EA, Phoenix Labs, and Timbre Games.Greg is a familiar face at RGS. In 2025, he delivered the opening talk of the conference and hosted a widely praised fireside chat with Johan Pilestedt. He brings warmth, expertise, and a genuine passion for supporting people's growth in the industry.

Joon Van HoveIndependent Game Designer

Joon is an independent game developer and designer who has been steadily releasing games for over a decade. His focus has been on innovative playful experiences and working together with collaborators in the indie space. He was technical director on the viral e-sports parody game Q-UP (2025) and time-trial racing game Phantom Spark (2024). Previously he designed and directed the award winning squirrel surveillance game NUTS (2021), and mobile titles Don't Trip (2019) and Invert (2017).In the past he served on the advisory board and presented roundtables at GDC, created and taught games courses at Reykjavik University, and co-founded the Screenshake and Isle of Games collectives which organize cultural games events.
